Breast cancer is a disease that has touched countless lives, including members of the DLS band community.
On Friday, October 18th at the De La Salle vs West Florida home football game, the De La Salle Marching Band
will go pink on behalf of a worthy cause, breast cancer research and support.
All donations will go to the National Breast Cancer Foundation. This foundation helps support those affected by breast cancer through early detection, education and support services.
The DLS band is now accepting donations. While we know that you can and do support your own personal charities of choice- as a band family, we can't think of a better way to support a worthy cause. Large donations make a bigger impact and together as a unified band family, we are incredibly strong.
Donations are fully tax deductible and we encourage you to donate in the name of a family member affected by ANY form of cancer.
Students will read each name in a short ceremony before the football game.
Pink bandanas are being provided for non-shako students. Students will also be encouraged to wear pink shirts under their uniforms for the game.
Donation checks should be made payable to De La Salle. Please indicate "Pink Plumes" in the memo area.
Names to be read should be attached, both your family name and the name you wish to have honored.
Thank you for your generosity for this worthy cause.
